LAMI DOORS is a family owned 45-year-old company and has been manufacturing high quality specialist LAMI GRP doors (glass reinforced polyester) since 1966. Innovative LAMI GRP doors have been developed with decades of experience for the most demanding and harsh environments where no other door will suffice. Our modern purpose built manufacturing facilities are located in Finland. LAMI DOORS group has subsidiaries in Great Britain and in Sweden as well as sales office in Russia.

History

Mr. Esko Aho, the long-term Managing Director of LAMI DOORS group, first heard about the GRP industry in the 1960´s. This inspired him to gather more knowledge about GRP products around the world. In 1966 Mr. Aho and his co-partners thought the time was right to establish the company called Muovilami Oy of Finland, the head office of LAMI DOORS group.

Muovilami Oy started to manufacture glass reinforced polyester doors and Mr. Aho was chosen to be a CEO of the company. In 1968 he and his wife Rauha Aho acquired all the shares of Muovilami Oy and took full responsibility for the Company. Mr. Aho was Managing Director until 2010 when the second generation of the family took over the responsibility of the company.

Nowadays LAMI DOORS group is a well-established 45-year-old specialist in manufacturing hygienic GRP doors (glass reinforced polyester) and related products. We currently employ over 40 people and half of our production is exported worldwide. LAMI DOORS group is one of the largest and most experienced manufacturers of GRP doors in Europe.

Environmentally Friendliness

All the products manufactured by LAMI DOORS group are packaged in eco-friendly and recyclable materials. All packaging materials are recyclable.

LAMI DOORS group is committed to enhance awareness of environmental legislation, regulations, British Standards and Good Practice.

LAMI DOORS group is committed to corresponding waste production and disposal as well as Minimizing Waste, Re-Use and Recycling where ever possible.We sort and recycle all our cardboard waste, energy waste, plastic waste and metal waste. The used solvents are distilled and re-used in our production. Doors, frames and metal parts can be recycled. LAMI doors have been classified in the best surface material emission class M1. Rakennustietosäätiö RTS has granted LAMI doors the best M1 Emission Classification of Building Materials, M1 stands for low emissions. The aim of the classification is to enhance the development and use of low-emitting building materials.
